I’m not dead…I think

I have no energy to come down my stairs and get on my computer. Stuff is tiring.

Also; I’m pregnant.

And: I had pneumonia for 2 weeks.

Totally balls.

Here: this is where I will rant about being preggo…since its not a personal blog topic. Kinda gets old quick. Trust me.

In other news, I started a new position @ work. Pay is better, and the contract will probably carry me right through until I leave on maternity…which means my 60% mat leave pay will be based on a higher salary. Win!

Sunshine and Dresses

I’m kind of sad that I didn’t make it out to the Fringe this year…but money gets tight when you have to drop 12k. Hopefully I’ll get to do TONS next year!

Instead, we went to a wedding. I’ve known the groom since 1st grade, and the bride since highschool. It was lovely; the first wedding Chris and I had been to as adults. It was enjoyable to sit for dinner with another grade-school friend, plus his parents and wife. One of my best ladies - Megs - was in the bridal party, and she looked lovely in a purple strapless coctail dress.

We were standing around after the ceremony w/ Megs & her parents when someone from highschool came up to say Hi to Megs. As she asked her “So what are you up to now?” I looked at Megs’ parents and grinned. Megs is eternally more interesting than most ppl when you ask what is going on in her life:

“Oh, I’m off to Egypt for 2 years to teach 4th graders!”

Damn her and her trump card.
